Notes:
This is a very rare issue. But this isn't due so much to its age, or low print-run, but to its contents. Fully 100% of the characters in this multi-story issue make their first appearance.
Notes: Though this is the first appearance of The Green Mask, according to the character's chronology, it depicts events taking place after Green Mask #1.
Notes: According to a panel at the 2000 San Diego Comic Con, in which both Eisner and Cuidera were speakers, Eisner was the writer of this story, and Cuidera was the artist and creator of the first Blue Beetle. Many other sources claim Charles Wojtkowski was the "Charles Nicholas" who created the Beetle. But this panel interview lends greater credibility to Cuidera's claim. He would appear to be the "original" of the three "Nicholas"es working for Fox, if for no other reason than "Charles Nicholas" were his first and middle names. The "house name" then passed to Jack Kirby for a while, and finally to Charles Wojtkowski.
