Synopsis:
This trade paperback collects the Epic Comics color translation of Katsuhiro Otomo's epic Akira, which began in 1988. This is the first volume of 13 softcovers, each collecting 3-4 issues. The stories included here:
Chapter 1: The Highway
Chapter 2: Pursuit
Chapter 3: Number 41!
All 3 chapters were translated by Jo Duffy, and were newly colored by Steve Oliff. The art from these volumes were taken from Japanese collections, rather than the original strips.
Additionally, Otomo touched up pages of artwork, here and there, for the English adaptation.
