Story Arc(s):    Add/remove story arcs to this issue

Shockwave attacks the Blackrock oil platform causing security specialist Josie Beller to suffer a nearly-fatal electrical shock. Once in command of the platform, he allows the humans aboard to leave so as to carry word that the Decepticons are the new world order on Earth.

Back inside the Ark, Buster Witwicky is instructed by Optimus Prime to connect two wires from Optimus's head to his own, not knowing the task he is performing is greater than he could imagine.

When Shockwave returns, Megatron snaps his restraints and attacks, blowing Shockwave through the side of the mountain and into the nearby town of Vallemont. During the battle, Shockwave takes advantage of Megatron's still-unhealed wounds and short-circuits him with the contents of a water tower, ending the fight and placing him on display for the rest of the Decepticons to secure his new command.
