Synopsis:
As the rest of the Legionnaires are attending to a matter on Takron-Galtos, the remaining Legionnaires bicker about what to do in the meantime. While Colossal Boy wants to watch television, other Legionnaires either want to play cards or sit in silence. Finally, Magnetic Boy offers a solution for everyone, solve the mystery of who attempted to kill Legion Academy student Laurel Kent!

Synopsis:
Before investigating the murder attempt, the Legionnaires attempt to gather all of the necessary information. It turns out that Laurel Kent is a distant descendant of Superman, and she was shot with a kryptonite bullet. Believing the bullet to be the key to solving the crime, the Legionnaires set out to the planet Thanagar.

Synopsis:
Arriving on Thanagar, the Legionnaires are recounted with a tale of a recent theft of an ancient weapon which could have been used to fire the kryptonite bullet. The museum curator also recounts how several Thanagarian police were killed in the robbery as well, while some were not. Is this just a coincidence?

Synopsis:
Piecing the clues together from the other crimes, Brainiac Five begins to put the puzzle together. Suspicious of the criminal's motives, Brainiac Five finds a distant descendant of the 20th century hero Green Arrow, only to find out that this descendant has also had a recent attempt on his life. The similarities between all of the crimes are becoming too much to be a coincidence.
