Brainiape, who is revealed to be Adolph Hiter's brain preserved within the body of a gorilla, is sent on a mission to kill the Dragon by Cyberface, the defacto leader of the Vicious Circle. Cyberface is decomposing, so to save him, Abner Cadaver summons the creatures of the undead, who attack the world-renowned paranormal investigator Hellboy. The Dragon comes to Hellboy's rescue, and the two of them are pitted against one another by Brainiape. Meanwhile, to save his life, Cyberface allows himself to be bitten by a vampire.
