Shang Chi kills Petrie at his father, Fu Manchu's, request only to regret it when Sir Denis Nayland Smith convinces him that his father is mad and evil. As a result Shang Chi breaks into his father's lair and announces his intentions to fight his father's evil influence all over the world.
