No creators are definitively known for any position. Given the close ties between the Fellowship of Reconciliation and MLK himself, however, it's entirely possible MLK at least read the book prior to publication. He certainly could have acted as an unofficial editor.
Whoever wrote the main stories was likely writing autobiographically, given the FOR's actual involvement in the events depicted.
In many areas of the country, this comic was given away, despite the cover price.
