Shot Through the Heart

Letters Column: Bat Signals

Batman learned that Deadshot was in town and went looking for him. He went to Huntress for the scoop on a possible target - Lew Moxon, former mob boss. Bruce Wayne attended a party for Moxon and ran into his daughter, a childhood friend named Mallory. She introduced him to her father and their bodyguard, Philo Zeiss - a man Batman had tangled with recently. Oracle got him information on Zeiss, he had a photographic memory that enabled him to slow down / speed up his vision. Deadshot attacked to view Zeiss's reactions. Batman left in pursuit.
