Synopsis:
Recent adventures with the X-Men have been anything but easy for Remy LeBeau, the mutant super hero known as Gambit. So what could be better than to trade super-heroics for some R'n'R in his hometown of New Orleans, doing what he likes--and does--the best: stealing stuff!
But for the Big Easy's preeminent thief-turned-super-hero, getting back to his roots may prove difficult. A bewitching blonde, Lili Penrose, has hired Remy to steal a mysterious deck of cards, but unbeknownst to him, the notorious gangster Orlean Cooper has set an ambitious cutthroat named "Fast Jack" Jessup on the same trail.
Meanwhile, Remy's nutty old friend Dan Down, who claims he receives supernatural messages from decks of playing cards, warns that something terrible and deadly is on the horizon, looming ever closer. Of course, what does Dan know? He's just a crazy old man--right?
