Dr. Destiny, an old Justice League villain, escapes from Arkham Asylum. Meanwhile, Dream is searching for his lost ruby. He tracks it to JLA headquarters, where he meets a few JLA members.
Destiny is also looking for something. He and Dream are searching for the same ruby, but Destiny has altered it so it will only bow to his will.
