In the year 11960, Xotar is being pursued by the police. He has to choose from 4 weapons to fight them off. He wants to test the weapons on the JLA, the one that defeats them is the one he'll use on the police. How can he know one will defeat the JLA? He has an old book written by Wonder Woman, detailing the early exploits of the JLA. Many words are obscured, but Xotar is led to believe that one of his weapons defeat the JLA. Xotar captures Snapper Carr, who summons the JLA with his signal belt, and Xotar captures the team in a yellow "gravitic ray". The JLA proceeds to defeat each of Xotar's weapons, in turn, and he ends up back in 11960 with no functioning weapons and is captured by the police.
