Hal Jordan confronts Kyle Rayner in order to obtain Kyle’s ring and become the Green Lantern of Sector 2814 again. When Kyle refuses, Hal turns into Parallax and attacks. As the fight begins, Ganthet departs, causing Hal to remark how the Guardians always desert the Green Lanterns in the end. In truth, Ganthet has left to gather other heroes in order to stop Hal’s rampage.
