Synopsis:
Jack, Mikaal and the holographic Ted have been transported 1000 years into the future due to "the Black Colossus." He's confronted by Star Boy of the Legion of Super-Heroes, who relents once he realizes who's standing before him. Planetside, they meet up with Umbra, who also speaks in awe of Mikaal who is apparently the guardian of their people in the future. Unfortunately, in this present, the "black colossus" threatens the entire universe and the band of heroes must venture into it in order to save everyone. In the center of the void, they find Shade, oozing shadow creatures. They manage to save him by curing him of a disease using Jack's staff and Mikaal's star power and Shade warns him of times to come, as well as explains to Thom Kallor that he will become the next Starman. Shade then sends them back in time.
Unfortunately, Shade over shoots and the Starmen appear in 1922, right before Krpyton explodes.
