Talking with David

Who'd have thought that Jack and Mikaal would run into a crazed Solomon Grundy on a blue planet in the middle of nowhere? Grundy destroy's Mikaal's helmet, leaving him choking on the lack of oxygen. But, this near death experience allows him to speak to David, Jack's brother. David tells him that he'll need to protect the city while Jack is away and that he'll need to come to terms with being a hero.

Meanwhile, while Mikaal has a chat with Jack's dead brother, Jack fights for his life against Grundy's plant creatures, who are eventually defeated by the ship, thanks to Orion's ruthless programming. Back on the ship, they pass through a mysterious black hole only to be confronted with Star Boy of the Legion of Super-Heroes?
