Jack and Mikael slowly make their way across the galaxy in the cosmic energy powered ship. Before long, Jack discovers a hologram of his father in the library, who explains itself as a manifestation of the mother box. He tells them that the trip will take about three and a half weeks as long as nothing goes wrong. Then, something goes wrong. Mikael has a dream and wrecks the control room fighting against it. The two are forced to land on an uncharted blue planet for repairs but wind up wandering off into the distance where Solomon Grundy waits for them.
