User Accounts Update *IMPORTANT, PLEASE READ*

I've been talking to a server breach expert and his strong recommendation was to reset everyone's passwords rather than hope that all users do so. Because the information is out there, the last thing we want to have happen is someone logs in as you and wrecks your collection or something along those...

Re: Our User Accounts Have Been Hacked

It came to my attention because I was told by the hacker. I'm addressing it by a) notifying everyone immediately, b) eliminating the plaintext passwords and c) our web host is investigating to determine how the server was breached and will move forward from there. All users' passwords were still in ...

Re: comicbookdb mainpage: theme covers of the Day?

Re: New Issue Image Upload Function

It's not something that can easily be done initially - the width of the image isn't stored in the database so every image would have to be checked each time that title page loaded. Maybe not a huge problem for a four issue limited series, but for Action Comics, it would bog down the site and take fo...

Re: New Issue Image Upload Function

I've also updated the home page so that the Last 15 Reviews section is no longer visible and has been replaced with the Last 15 Issues Missing Covers. This gives people a very clear look at what recently added issues still need covers. As covers are added to these issues, the list should update to r...

New Issue Image Upload Function

I've replaced the old issue image upload function with a new one that should make it much easier. The following changes are now in place: ⋅ You only need to upload one large image now ⋅ That image needs to be at least 400 pixels wide ⋅ I've tripled the maximum file size...

Re: Image upload questions

I've been considering some possible solutions to remove some of the barriers to entry as far as uploading images. When I have something in place, I'll let you guys know.

Re: malware

After I posted that, I e-mailed our contact at the ad network and after they looked into it, acknowledged that some bad ads had gotten into the mix. They believe it has been rectified, but if you see anything, let me know (ideally with the ad that triggered it) and I will pass it along. This is the ...

This is the first I'm hearing of this. When it happens, do you know what ads are being displayed?
