Suggestion: Modernized Cloning

As it stands, cloning characters or creators is still using the old-school "choose from a drop-down menu" format and that just makes it difficult to use at best. If it were changed to fit something like "issues collected in this entry" page, then it would be far more useful, espe...

Buggy Autobanning Feature

Has the autobanning feature that seems to be built into the website been looked at? I must have been banned by accident 5 or 6 times by now because I do wide sweeping changes on incomplete articles or ones that need standardizing occasionally. The last thing I was doing before it kicked this time wa...

Except for the fact that most groups and teams have far more members than appear in a given issue. X-Men, JLA, Avengers and Teen Titans all have had a great deal of members but you'd only see maybe 7 tops in each issue.

What about flipbooks where they have two covers?

No, the first example is the correct way to do it. Embedded may be the "A" story, but it's still in a book with several stories in them. People only list Embedded as the title because it's an easy indicator of what the book is in the database (see also: The Blood of Apocalypse storyline in...

Re: new answer to an old thread

Hi, thanks for the detailed tutorial. Anyway, how much time would it take you to complete all the steps? Honestly, I prefer that anyone scans as many covers as he can, with a lower quality..... Another advice. Sometimes it is just easier google the issue title: you get some wonderful images from th...

Since the code doesn't mean anything at all to me, I'll just ask. Is this going to be set to make queries from the regular drop-down menu rather than a separate toolbar? While I think the toolbar works fine, I don't like having to add extra toolbars because it deceases the visible screen space. The...

Firefox Search Engine Plug-In

I've found the toolbar to be a bit unwieldy for my uses, so I set to the task of making a search engine plug-in that would search the database using the search built into the right hand corner of the screen. I think I've succeeded, but I'm an amateur when it comes to this sort of thing. Before I upl...

Re: Confusion

Wonder Girl of primarily Earth-1? It seems needlessly wordy when you could simply put Wonder Girl (I - Donna Troy). It adequately differentiates her from Cassie Sandsmark. Unless there's a plan to have a pre-Crisis and post-Crisis Donna, but otherwise it sounds weird. That's what I've been saying. ...

I'm not an admin, but my opinion is as such: Don't censor anything. Just upload the image as it is. It's not like you're uploading pornography, you're adding art which graphically identifies the database entry. Obscuring the art would detract from the effectiveness of the entry and I seriously doubt...

If the indicia says it's a new title, then it's a new title. Otherwise, people would take it upon themselves to group together related issues under a single title and it would make the database trickier to navagate.

Re: Batman

That's supposed to make it more clear, actually. With those listings, there is, in theory, no confusion as to which character should be added to which issue. Do you have a Justice Society issue from the 70s? Superman of Earth-2. A Justice League issue from the 70s? Superman of Earth-1. A current Su...

Re: Batman

I'm a little confused about Batman entries. There is an entry for "Batman" and for "Batman (I - Bruce Wayne)". Which one is meant to be used for current entries of Batman? Since DK answered this question, could somebody explain what the deal is with all the Superman cast member ...

I just ran into a small bug: When you batch add issues to a collection, it adds all of the variants as well. So, when adding the Marvel Zombies mini to the HC, there's 3 different #1s instead of just the one. Edit: The bug is bigger than I thought. When adding the issues, it doesn't look like the is...
