2012-05-12 05:07:02 lebeau40 Bio Professional comic book inker whose career began in high school. It was there that he created his own weekly comic strip, 'The Crescent and the Chosen One in the school's newspapers. He then used his skill while attending both the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff as well as at Columbia College of Art, where he earned his Art Degree. He then used his talent while serving in the U.S. Navy by publishing a weekly comic strip to boost morale, and redesigned the shield used by COMDESRON 6 Battle Group. While stationed in Jacksonville, Florida, he gained further knowledge by becoming the protege of legendary Marvel Comics former Art Director, Don Perlin. Began working in the small press industry, gaining experience and knowledge. Participated in the Top Cow Talent Search which garnered him 2nd place among over 12,000 entries. Personally invited to the site of CrossGen Comics, where he met and befriended professional inkers such as Don Hillsman II, John Dell and Rick Magyar, among others. First published by Marvel Comics on Marvel Age: Fantastic Four. Worked with reknowned penciler Brett Booth on The Burning Man. Inked a backup story for Image Comics' Noble Causes and inked a run on G.I. Joe for Devil's Due Publishing. Later, joined Crimelab Syndicate Studio under the tutelage of top inkers, Danny Miki and Jonathan Glapion. Subsequent work at this time was for Marvel Enterprises (Incredible Hulk, Venom), Image Comics (Todd Mcfarlane's Haunt), Blood Red Dragon (with Todd Mcfarlane and Stan Lee) and DC Comics, first inking pages for Legion of Superheroes, which led to inking 1/2 of Static Shock #1 for the New DC 52 initiative. Subsequent work continued on Static Shock, inking the covers with penciler Khary Randolph and colorist, Emilio Lopez. Currently a freelance artist for DC Comics.
