Born in Porto Alegre (Brazil) in 1974, Daniel HDR began as a professional in comics in 1988, with only 14 years old, at first participating in illustrations for comic books that offered space for the reader’s art.
Soon began performing work as an illustrator for local publishers as Press Editora, D’Arte, Ondas, and others. Made his debut in 1995 in the North-American comics industry, at Image Comics, and after that, at Marvel Comics, and Dark Horse Press (some of these works, HDR signed as DANIEL HORN - other works, he made with Mike Deodato Studio - like the art of Glory series, Lady Supreme and other Image Comics Books). After Digimon, the creator star sign Daniel HDR. In same time, work with other brazilian publishers, like JBC Editora, Editora Abril, Mythos Editora and Brainstorm. In 2000, developed the official manga adaptation of animated series Digimon.
As a teacher, has been lessing comics classes since 1994 in partnership with the government of Rio Grande do Sul, besides teaching at UNISINOS (comics and manga), FEEVALE (Sequential Arts) and PUC-RS (Japanese Institute) colleges.
Currently, work on AVATAR PRESS. Your new works including Texas Chainsaw Massacre - The Grind, Medieval Lady Death and Classic Lady Death.
