MELL LAZARUS is a cartoonist and author, best known as the creator of the long-running MOMMA and MISS PEACH syndicated comic strips. Lazarus also has considerable comic book credits.

Lazarus is also the author of the 1964 humor novel THE BOSS IS CRAZY, TOO, which he described as "a fictionalized version of my five years at Capp Enterprises." (ALTER EGO #96, p 44]
