Born in Seattle Washington, November 1972, moved to California at the age of 15, April 1988. Played two years of college basketball before getting married and becoming a father at age 21. An Associate of Arts Degree and Professional Certificate in Graphic Design secured a position with Image Comics' Extreme Studios in 1995 as a Production Artist. While on the job learned how to color separate from some of the industries earliest innovators of computer color. After the dissolution of Extreme Studios, Brett followed Rob Liefeld to a new venture - Awesome Comics, lasting the duration of publication, continuing to produce and color. After the demise of Awesome Comics Brett made a living freelancing his talents on several titles from 1998 through 2001 before becoming Art Director for Image Comics. Since leaving Image Comics in 2004 Brett has worked creatively in several industries out side of comics including fashion, entertainment, publishing, adult and manufacturing. Currently on his second marriage and third child, Brett is working as the Art Director for an industry leading adult novelty company and still picks up comic book color work when he can.
