Chris, the writer of "Cascade" who also did some coloring work on it, is a colorist for Hi Fi Colour Design studio who has worked on books for DC, Disney, IDW and others, Chris began his comics career at eight years old helping dealers at conventions. After running his own store, he began as a writer and quickly branched into coloring. His writing influences include Poe, Lovecraft, Aleister Crowley, Stephen King, Gaiman and Greek, Roman and Egyptian mythology. He has also published political science research, various short comic stories, and is currently working on fitness books. This is his first full length comic.
The idea for this story comes from his research into American ghost towns to see if he might take his children to some. In his research he came across the strange history of Kaskaskia, Illinois. Kaskaskia was once the state capital but has since been reduced to a total of four residents; the reason was attributed to a Native American curse on the town. The hardest part of the job for Chris was keeping up with coloring as fast as Larry gave him pages.
