Born in 1952, Carol Lay graduated UCLA in 1975 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts. Since then, she inked and lettered journeyman jobs for comic companies. She developed her own short stories, and the underground comic GOOD GIRLS. For almost twenty years she wrote and drew the weekly comic Story Minute/WayLay for the L.A. WEEKLY and other alternative newspapers. Her work has appeared in Entertainment Weekly, The Wall Street Journal, Mad magazine, and The New Yorker. In recent years she's written and drawn Simpsons stories for Bongo Comics.
