Bio:
My name is Hector Rubilar Lara, Iím 28 years old and Iím from S„o Paulo (So forgive me but English is not my native language). At 15 I was a great fan of mangas like Dragon Ball, Rurouni Kenshin , One Piece, Vagabond, Blade of the Immortal among others so I start trying to draw those characters I loved. After high school I was pretty lost in my life so my aunt told me ďWhy donít you take drawing Classes?Ē So I did. There I met my first teacher http://mferreri.blogspot.com.br/ and then I realized that drawing is something I could do as a professional but I didnít want my arts to be black and white, so I start learning how to colorize them. With the full support of my family specially my mother who gave me my first Digital Drawing tablet (a Genius one). But I took too long to do my own art, so I start picking somebody else pieces to practice colors, soon I was practicing colors on every lineart I found on internet. Doing a research online I found a online community lead my Rod Reis http://rodreiscolorist.blogspot.com.br/ (Dc Comics Colorist) who teach me and a lot of others colorist a lot of great stuff about coloring. One day came the opportunity to do a workshop with Frank Martin Jr. about coloring where I learned all the basics which was a great help to continuing practicing and told me about the online community http://www.dave-co.com/gutterzombie/ where you can get great feedbacks from the best colorist there is. So Now Im coloring comics professionally with great publishers like Arcana Comics, Zenescope, Red Anvil Comics, and great people like Elisa Feliz http://www.elisafeliz.com/and Nuno Teixeira http://nunoxei.com/. I did this site to show my work as a colorist, any suggestions, critiques or job contacts are welcome.
