Ed Traquino is a British comic book creator, writer and artist who has been based in the Bronx, NY since the summer of 2006. Ed has been published in numerous UK and US independent and small press comics. He has also published 6 of his own comics ranging from short story collections to 40 page single-story comics.
A part of the Comicbook Artists Guild since summer 2006, Ed has found that the "can do", enthusiastic attitude of Guild Works Productions (GWP) matches his passionate belief in what comics can achieve as art and entertainment. Believing that comics in America are in the fantastic position of been relatively unexplored and ripe for re-discovery by the vast majority of people, Ed hopes that his next comic will be enjoyed by those who would never call themselves comic readers.
Working as the production manager for Guild Works Productions in 2008, Ed's responsibilities included being an artist liaison, in-house letterer, gray-scaler and preparing art for print. Ed has drawn 2 stories for GWP's Psychosis (issues #2 & #3). The first was "King of the Realm", a sprawling horror epic based on the British Royalty which was written by GWP Senior VP, Mark Mazz and the other story, "Big Iron: Already Lost" was written by screenwriter, Ed Pereira. Big Iron is a revisionist dust-bowl western set in New Texas, an entire county stranded in a strange void. Traquino has continued his collaborations with Ed Pereira on Steel and Paper, a contemplative samurai story which was published in the Comicbook Artists Guild Anthology (CAG #7). The masterful acrylic painting for the cover of Psychosis #3 was rendered by Traquino, and he looks forward to being a creative part of the Guild in the future.
