Dr. Chapel was blinded in an explosion while trying to save a patient. She soon found that she could see in darkness like her friend and mentor Dr. Charles McNider. She adopted the costumed identity of Dr. Midnight and joined Infinity Inc. (I). Although she preferred to act as their physician more than as a costumed hero. She was killed by Eclipso along with several other heroes in the nation of Parador.
