Enoch (DC)(Post Flashpoint)
Real Name:
Search for 'Enoch (DC)(Post Flashpoint)' on Amazon

Powers:
As Detritus, Enoch was a powerful being made of water that was capable of destroying entire towns and killing most regular people in his way.

After he was able to shed the curse that turned him into Detritus, that power left, but he was still connected to it. He's currently able to feel and use that power to track and sense where The Salesman has been.

Bio:
Enoch was a resident of the small town of Aitch, Pennsylvania. Together with his brother Johnny, the ran a little store/restaurant that catered to the town's need. To increase tourism to the area, it was decided a lake would be added to the area. That lake would be placed right where Aitch was currently residing, forcing out all the residents and effectively ending the town.

Enoch, displeased with the idea, tried to fight against it, but most of the town started taking the fair market value offers on their homes to leave the town. The only issue is, that for some, fair market value wasn't very much and it certainly wasn't enough to find a home anywhere else. Enoch and his brother Johnny were at a loss as to what to do. Enter, The Salesman.

The Salesman, a being from the same dimension as The Batman Who Laughs, offers to grant a wish to those in a desperate moment. The wish however, never turns out as the person expects, instead being granted in the most horrible way imaginable. For every town The Salesman destroys, for every bit of pain and grief he causes, his own dimension can start to make it's way to this dimension. So Enoch made the deal and was transformed into the hideous evil creature known as Detritus, who actually worked to destroy the town and kill the remaining residents, not save them. Tourism would increase alright according to The Salesman. People would flock to Aitch to gawk at the lake that was made by an evil creature who had killed the entire town.

Enoch, in a moment of clarity after destroying a lot of the town and killing many residents, confronted his brother Johnny. This confrontation allowed Enoch to feel again. He didn't want to harm his brother, and in that moment of clarity, he shed the curse. The curse however, still alive and well, simply consumed his brother Johnny who then continued on the rampage.

Enoch, horrified and enraged that he had damned his brother, went looking for other towns like Aitch and realized as he found them, that he still had connections to the power he previously possessed. He could feel it, even if he couldn't use it. This power allowed him to find The Salesman. He "killed" the form the Salesman had taken when he had found him (it's unknown if the Salesman can actually be killed) and took his ledger, which had previous towns and future plans listed in it. He was able to use this ledger to try and do some good.

Returning to Aitch, he met up with another creation of The Salesman, Brimstone, and Brimstone's sister, Annie Chamberlain. Together the three of them were able to stop Detritus just as he was about to kill another family.

Enoch is presumed to still be pursuing the trail of The Salesman at this point.

Notes:
In issue #4 of The Curse of Brimstone, Enoch refers to Detritus as Elijah on more than one occasion. The only times we've seen Detritus was when Enoch was originally him before shedding the curse, which then consumed his brother Johnny. Johnny went off to continue the rampage as Detritus and then the creature wasn't seen again until Enoch and Brimstone put a stop to it. So who Elijah is or was, is currently unknown.
