Bio:
Steve Marston was married to Elaine Marston and the two of them together were supernatural investigators along with a group of six others. They were all hired by a man named Jerome Selwin to investigate the Marcosa house. Selwin was an old man who was dying of cancer and decided to turn to supernatural methods to continue to live. He offered them hundreds of thousands of dollars to learn the secrets of the haunted mansion and hopefully bring back a way for him to live forever.

Unfortunately for Steven, Elaine and their team, things did not turn out the way they had hoped. Marcosa was in fact, still alive, and a very powerful supernatural being. He toyed with them and murdered them one by one until only Elaine was left. She awoke to find herself crawling on her hands and knees in the mud outside of the mansion.

A year later, after Elaine's new boyfriend Buck Cowan was mauled at the hands of his best friend, Jack Russell, in his Werewolf by Night form, she returned to the house with Jack, his sister Lissa and their friend Topaz under the same deal from Selwin, in hopes they could find something that would save Buck from his imminent death.

During the night there, Steven was manifested as a supernatural illusion to toy with Elaine and her group. His form melted away to reveal a skull that Jack, in his werewolf form, smashed.

Notes:
