Captain Action (Earth-1) Real Name: Professor Clive Arno Search for 'Captain Action (Earth-1)' on eBay Powers: Though he potentially could have a variety of different powers, based upon the hundreds of unique coins he finds, he tends to rely on those featuring Zeus, Hercules, and Heimdall. From Zeus he gets power over storms and lightning, from Hercules he gets strength, and from Heimdall comes enhanced sensory perception. Bio: While on an archaeological dig in Athens, Professor Clive Arno happened across a big wooden chest. Inside were tons of different coins, each bearing the likeness of a different classical god. Each of these coins, Arno later finds, imbues the holder with the powers of the god on the front. He thus takes the coins and becomes . . . Captain Action! Notes: This character's moniker "of Earth-1" is derived from the appearance of Superman of Earth-1 and his references to the JLA in his first, two-part story. This moniker also usefully distinguishes this version of the character from the one featured in the action figure line which predated DC's involvement, the revival action figure line which happened in 2000, and any future reincarnations.
