Amadeus Cho (Marvel)

Amadeus Cho is a teenage supergenius. Reed Richards has referred to him as the seventh smartest person in the world. His incredible intellect gives him the ability to make precise calculations instantaneously. This intelligence is portrayed in the comics as glowing labels, numbers and other information, shown from his point of view, which gives his abilities a visual component that would otherwise not exist. Whether or not he actually sees the numbers (like a HUD) is unknown. He has shown himself capable of doing anything from redirecting a laser-guided missile with a wing mirror or tracking the Hulk based on his trajectory and jump height. Though this gift does come in handy when escaping, the strain of his mental calculations leaves him exhausted.

After his powers were discovered, an unknown agency destroys his home leaving Amadeus on the run for his life, distrusting almost everyone he meets. He later hacked into the Baxter Building's security network and discovered that the group known as the Illuminati had sent his friend, the Incredible Hulk, into exile in outer space. He is determined to find the Hulk, and reveal the truth of Hulk's disappearance. Shortly after going on the run he adopted an orphaned coyote pup. He soon caught up with Jennifer Walters, the currently de-powered She-Hulk, in order to convince her to support the Hulk. They were both attacked by Doc Samson; after drinking soda provided by Cho, Walters is able to regain her powers and defeat Samson. He escaped and called Walters from a different location and quickly found himself face to face with Hercules and Archangel- both of whom had fought the Hulk before and now appeared to be willing to aid him. He was able to convince both men to join the Hulk upon his return, and used some of Archangel's money to buy a ship so that they would travel to Atlantis to convince Prince Namor to join up. Sadly though, Namor thought their plan was a foolish one and refused to join, but his cousin Namora joined up with them instead.

They find the Hulk, just after he defeats the Avengers, and along with others sympathetic to his cause they are able to convince him that they are here to help him.

Although he has earned the title Mastermind Excello from a contest he does not use it as a code name and instead goes by his real name.
