Arnie Scarlotti

Search for 'Arnie Scarlotti' on Amazon

Arnie Scarlotti was the bodyguard of mobster Nick Trask. Nick Trask had Scarlotti murdered, and framed the murder on small time mobster Lou Monkton.

Lou hired attorney Jennifer Walters to defend him. Jennifer, knowing that Monkton was a crook but wasn't guilty of the murder, planted a story that she had solid evidence that Trask killed Scarlotti and framed Monkton for the murder.

Trask in turn, to silence Walters, sent his hitmen after her to kill her. They shot Jennifer in the back, which caused her cousin, Bruce Banner aka The Hulk to give her an emergency blood transfusion, transforming her into The Savage She-Hulk.

As Jennifer Walters, she was eventually able to get the charges of Scarlotti's murder against Monkton dropped.

Although Scarlotti is mentioned numerous times through-out the entire run of The Savage She-Hulk's 25 issues, he is only named and shown in exactly ONE PANEL in the series' final issue. All the main characters of the series and all the main supporting characters briefly remember the circumstances in their lives that led them to where they are, and Monkton is one of those characters who has a page dedicated to his memories where Scarlotti is pictured and named.
