Jacob 'Jake' Fox

Bio:
Jake Fox was a trucker that worked for Mac-Ray Shipping. He was also on the take for mobster Nick Trask. During a drop to Trask, Jake demanded that Trask pay him the fifty grand he was owed for the contents of the truck. Trask betrayed Jake and his hitman Angelo was about to kill Jake when they were interrupted by another plan that Trask had put into motion (he rigged Jennifer Walters' (She-Hulk) car so that it would end up out of control and kill her in an accident. The car sped by, with Jennifer's friend Jill driving instead, followed closely by The She-Hulk who was trying to save her friend, just as Angelo was about to kill Jake).

Jake managed to escape and contacted a business associate, Weasel, asking for help. It was here that it was revealed that the shipment that Fox was delivering to Trask was actually Stark International Equipment that was being sent to Stark West for recycling. The shipment contained a robot (She-Droid) that Trask made up to look like The She-Hulk and used to frame The She-Hulk for the murder of the hitmen that tried to kill Jennifer Walters initially (which caused her transformation into The She-Hulk after they shot her and her cousin Bruce Banner (The Hulk) gave her an emergency blood transfusion that led to her becoming The She-Hulk) and to send after Jennifer Walters herself (not knowing she was The She-Hulk) to kill her as she was working relentlessly as a lawyer to prove Trask was a killer.

Weasel agreed to meet Fox, but was immediately killed by Trask and his men as he hung up the phone. Fox showed up to the arranged meet up spot, but instead found Weasel dead. He was immediately attacked by the She-Droid and murdered. Trask made sure there was photographic evidence of the She-Droid having killed Fox as to further frame She-Hulk for crimes that she had not committed.

She-Hulk ended up destroying the She-Droid when Trask sent it after her in her Jennifer Walters form, but the damage had been done. She had been framed for murder.

Jake's wife, Mrs. Fox, approached Tony Stark (Iron Man) and asked him to figure out what happened to her husband as she hadn't seen him since he left to pick up the shipment that contained the She-Droid that he delivered to Trask and ended up being murdered over. Tony, as Iron Man, investigated and ended up clashing with She-Hulk as he believed her to be responsible for the murder of Fox. After She-Hulk explained what had happened, the two went to the beach where She-Hulk had destroyed the She-Droid and found the destroyed parts of the robot, proving her innocence.

At the same time, because of Stark International equipment being found in the hands of Trask, Jennifer Walters had put Tony Stark on trial to prove he had ties to Organized Crime. Stark, knowing that Fox had been on the take, and knowing it would break Mrs. Fox's heart if she found this out, wouldn't tell everything he knew at the trial.

She-Hulk ended up finding some of Trask's goons and got them to confess to everything. That Stark had nothing to do with organized crime and that Trask had gotten the equipment from Fox and then killed him while framing She-Hulk for the murder. Because of the confession, the charges against Stark were dropped.

Stark then broke the news to Mrs. Fox that Jake was dead, but lied and said he was a good man that got mixed up in unfortunate circumstances so she could go on believing her husband died a decent man.
