Diehard is a cyborg, and is able to download his memory and brain waves to other Diehard units. Diehard carries a shield, which is attached to his back when not in use. Bio: The man who became Diehard was chosen in the 1940's to become the first of the U.S. government's genetic experiments, and is believed to be the first successful fusion of man and machine. Diehard has been in all the incarnations of Youngblood. Generally he has been perceived more as a combat unit than as a man and has therefore mostly been assigned for suicide missions. The golden age Diehard is supposed to be dead.
