Ape-Man (01 - Gordon Keefer)
Real Name: Gordon Keefer
Search for 'Ape-Man (01 - Gordon Keefer)' on Amazon

Powers:
Briefly possessed superhuman strength.

Bio:
A one-time thug, Keefer was recruited by the Organizer to join the Ani-Men. Often employed an animal suit (as did the rest of the crew), but was merely muscle, without any superhuman powers. Later, Count Nefaria hired them and then forced them to undergo scientific treatment that gave them actual powers and animalistic forms. Nefaria would later steal back much of this power for himself, and they would return to normal.

Notes:
Refers to himself as 'Gort'. As Keefer, also known as 'Monk' (as seen in his first appearance, as a mere thug robbing one of Tony Stark's warehouses).

First Appearance: Daredevil (1964) #10

Other Identities:
Gordon "Monk" Keefer
