Jor-El's second civilian boss. He defeated Ken-Dal in an election for head of the Space Program. In open debate on the Science Council's chamber floor, he opposed Jor-El's plan to rehabilitate hardened criminals by sending them into orbit around Krypton, where they could be retrained subliminally in a state of suspended animation. Instead, Et advocated the simpler path of sending them to the "electronic chair".
