Senyaka was recruited by Fabian Cortez into the Acolytes. However he apppeared to be brutal and killed lots of humans in the wake of the Acolytes' defeat due to the X-Men.

When Magneto was revealed alive, he wrapped Senyaka into his powered-up coils and injured him, and kicked him out of the team. Senyaka was later brought to a SHIELD medical unit where he was restored and fought Cable upon his release.

When Cortez was trying to find Magneto, Senyaka was allowed to rejoin the group but Magneto didn't want to have anything to do with them, so the Acolytes became rogue and rebbeled against their former master.

Senyaka is one of the known Acolytes to have survived the assault on Genosha by the Sentinels send by Cassandra Nova, as he recently attacked Cable on his island of providence together with the now evil Gambit and Sunfire.
