Tomorrow Man (Antarctic)

Bio:
A Captain America-like character, except created during the Vietnam War for use as a super-powered soldier. Tomorrow Man was selected from the Chaplain Corps and given an experimental serum injection which gave him incredible powers.

But the price of his new-found power was nearly to great for him to bear: he became an engine of destruction, a killing machine bar none, and when the war was over, he returned home to a country who spat on him, called him names, and took away his humanity leaving him with only the memories of the hundreds and hundreds of men, women and children who had died at his hands.

Without the Tomorrow Man serum being administered regularly, he slowly returned to being a normal human until a crisis of conscience and faith led him to Father Gomez's church in New York, where he was attacked by a demon just before he was preparing to kill himself.

Father Gomez, using the Vatican archives, was able to synthesize the Tomorrow Man formula again, and offered him the chance to use his powers for good this time. Seeing an opportunity for redemption, he took it and now fights for good in an effort to clear a conscience that will never truly be cleared and wipe away the memories of a war that will never be truly forgotten.
