The Pariah (Doctor Who)

One of the co-founders of The Threshold, The Pariah was a living weapon created on Gallifrey. It, or rather "she", rebelled against the Time Lords to the extent that Rassilon himself had to intervene. The greatest of all Time Lords banished The Pariah from Gallifrey, sending it away in a containment sphere that should've never been breeched.

It was, however, when the vessel crashed on Earth in the early 20th century.

Abraham White, a passing traveling salesman, discovered the broken craft. The Pariah was still alive, but now needed to merge with another living being to survive. She offered White power and immortality in exchange for the merging.

He agreed. The new, merged being went on to use its powers in ways that reflected both parts of itself, yet generally looked like Abraham White. Thus, the incredible powers The Pariah had were redirected along more commercial lines, and the products Abraham White was trying to sell tended to be things of "cosmic" importance.

Eventually the new being created an army of "agents" to represent their new organization, The Threshold, and a plan was put in motion to give The Threshold a monopoly on space travel. When it seemed as though the plan would in fact be realized, The Pariah reasserted itself within the "union", and a secret, second plan was revealed. Abraham White opposed this plan, and the two permanently split.

This returned The Pariah to the weakened state in which White had found her, and she was fatally wounded by Shayde. However, Shayde was almost fatally wounded, and survived only by merging with Fey. This new combined entity, Feyde, then managed to finally kill The Pariah.
