C-3P0
Real Name:
Search for 'C-3P0' on Amazon

Bio:
C-3P0 was the off-duty "hobby project" of the pre-pubescent Anakin Skywalker. Crafted on Tatooine, C3P0 began life as a gift for Anakin's mother, Shmi. He was ostensibly created to help with household chores. Owing to the fact that Anakin probably based his designs off a common model kit, however, he was very much "overqualified" for that job. Though he clearly still retains some "domestic" programming, C3P0 has a much broader utility as an expert linguist. He also has a personality that seems consistent with what a child would think of as an "appropriate approximation of an adult". A naturally overprotective, overtalkative worrier, C3P0 is often comic relief in the situations of extreme danger into which he's often thrust. His chance meeting with fellow droid R2D2 on Tatooine proves a strong one. After their meeting, they are never shown to have significant periods of separation. They often are shown to be as close to "married" as droids can get.

Unlike R2D2, however, his memory core was erased following the events of Revenge of the Sith, so he doubtless believes himself younger than his actual age, and has a different view of his connection to galactic events than they are in truth. Paradoxically, he thinks himself the "senior" partner of the two, and is often shown to believe himself the "leader" and R2D2 the rebellious "youth"--when it's very clear to the audience that R2D2 is typically the only one of them who really grasps the import of a particular situation.
