Lieutenant Colonel Jody Choate

Search for 'Lieutenant Colonel Jody Choate' on Amazon

A super soldier with superhuman strength and durability. Highly trained armed and unarmed combatant and strategist. Capable of keeping his composure during the most tense situations.

Fanatically loyal to his government, willing sacrifice anyone and anything for his cause, even himself.

Jody Choate was a covert ops specialist in the United States Military. He got involved in in a far-reaching plot to use the experiments of Dr.Ted Sallis to create mutant soldiers. These soldiers would be created for the sole purpose of killing a famed foreign leader whose popularity in the USA had eclipsed that of even the President. Choate was rabidly devoted to his mission, and eventually crossed the path of Dr. Sallis' mutated form, The Man-Thing, as well as other ancillary characters from his prior series (including a reporter who had accidentally uncovered this conspiracy). Although Choate didn't survive, the attempt to kill this foreign leader went on as planned, with the understanding that the orders had come from the very top from the beginning.

Created by Steve Gerber and Tom Sutton, appears to be loosely based on Colonel Oliver North (Iran/Contra Scandal). A member of Project Glamor (Earth-616). (Alias:Steel)
