A child of wealth, August Fenwick left home in the late 1920s to train himself physically and mentally to fight crime. He joined the circus as a member of the acrobat family the Flying Androvs to help train his body. He tracked down various surviving members of the Society of Gentlemen Adventurers, including the Stranger, to sharpen his detective skills. Finally, he mastered the art of hypnosis under the guidance of Master Rashan in Nepal. While training under Rashan he wore a red mask, leading the master to give him the name Red Panda.
Returning home he discovered that his father had died in his absence. He set to work as a masked crime fighter, working solo for a few years before allowing his female chauffer, former taxi driver Kit Baxter, to join him as his sidekick, the Flying Squirrel.
Notes: Although he made his comics debut in 2013, the Red Panda first appeared in "Riddle of the Sphinx," the first episode of the "Red Panda Adventures" podcast audio drama series on October 15, 2005. He has also appeared in a series of "Tales of the Red Panda" novels.
