Lt. Athena (Battlestar: Galactica)
Real Name: Athena
Search for 'Lt. Athena (Battlestar: Galactica)' on Amazon

Bio:
Apollo's sister and Commander Adama's daughter. Though a viper pilot of no small skill, she is most often seen in Core Command (or, in Star Trek language, the bridge) manning a scanner. She had a mostly unrequited love for Starbuck.

Notes:
Had the casting session for Athena gone more on ability than looks, the character would probably have been used to a greater extent. Indeed, early story sessions indicate that Athena was meant to be, like Princess Leia, the third part of a triangle formed with Apollo and Starbuck. But as the actress, Maren Jensen, had no real ability, her character was reigned in until she disappeared entirely. Fortunately, the character has been used more in print media, like comics, where acting abilities are less important.

First Appearance: Battlestar Galactica (1979) #1
