Bio:
An American by birth, born in Oshkosh, WI, Karl Kaufman's parents returned to Germany prior to World War I to support the German war effort. But being an American and wishing to support the US, Karl donned a mask and cape, disguising himself as the Phantom Eagle and fought for the US as a World War I flying ace!
