Silky Cernak

Search for 'Silky Cernak' on Amazon

Bio:
Former henchman in Earth 2 Catwoman's criminal gang. Long after she'd given up her life of crime, Cernak popped back up, blackmailing her to return. He had (fraudulent) evidence that she had murdered someone in the 50s, and was going to turn it over to the police unless she robbed the Gotham Civic Center for him. Batman intervened in this robbery, not knowing his wife was "on the prowl" again. In the ensuing excitement, a stray bullet (which may have been fired by Cernak), struck Selina, causing her to lose her balance and fall to her death.

Later, after the initial shock of losing Selina had been solidified to rage within Wayne Manor, Helena Wayne decided to become The Huntress. First on her list of subjects was Cernak, whom she brought in for trial, essentially finishing the job that her father had started.

Notes:
Put most economically, Silky Cernak is the Huntress' Joe Chill.
