The Mekon
Real Name: The Mighty Mekon of Mekonta
Search for 'The Mekon' on Amazon

Powers:
Hyper-intelligent. Has a number of nifty gadgets used to compensate for his physically weak frame. Chief amongst these is probably his magnetically-powered armored flying chair.

Weaknesses:
Megalomania. Lack of emotions.

Bio:
Born of scientific experimentation by the Treens on the northern hemisphere of Venus. His intelligence is wholly trained on universal domination. The first step towards this goal has usually been the elimination of Dan Dare and the humans he protected on Earth.

Notes:
Phillip Hinchcliffe, producer of the Doctor Who story, "Genesis of the Daleks", gave credit to this British comic character for at least partially inspiring the design of Davros, creator of the Daleks.

This character is referenced in the 1975 song, "Dan Dare (Pilot of the Future)" by Elton John and Bernie Taupin.
