Paolo Priora

Search for 'Paolo Priora' on Amazon

Leader of the Spanish cult, the Carbonari, in the early 19th century and father of his successor, Stefano Priora.

In 1818, Poalo convinced fellow Carbonari member, Massimo del Portenza, to offer up his 6-year old son, Luca, for sacrifice. Paolo knew of Luca's immortality (which was inherited from his mother), and Luca's sacrifice would grant Paolo youth and immortality. The ritual went wrong, however. Paolo instead died, and Luca's once-gentle soul was corrupted by Paolo's evil.
