Mickey Smith

Powers:
Auto mechanic. Novice-intermediate computer hacker. Unusually loyal lover. Brave when he has to be for the good of others.

Weaknesses:
Innate skeptic. Jealousy. Easily frightened when his personal safety is compromised. Occasionally dimwitted.

Bio:
Rose Tyler's boyfriend, Mickey Smith is a very ordinary human male. He works as an auto mechanic in a fairly depressed area of London. His chief interests are pubs, football, and Rose.

When Rose decided to travel with the Doctor, he initially saw the Doctor as a grave threat to her securityand, indeed, to the safety of the larger world. Though he witnessed her freely entering the Doctor's TARDIS, he would probably, if asked, have claimed that she was all-but-abducted. Indeed, in the year between Rose's first trip on the TARDIS and her first return to 21st century Earth, he was suspected by both the police and Rose's mother of having kidnapped Rose. The Doctor and Rose gradually convinced him, though, that traveling space and time was a grand adventure, and the Doctor was Earth's protector. He eventually came to join the duo in the TARDIS.

Notes:
Despite a more active role on the television series, he only appeared twice in comics during the time he was on television. However, he is undeniably the focal point of that one-off story, "The Lodger" and heavily featured in "The Green-Eyed Monster".
