Chief Chirpa Search for 'Chief Chirpa' on eBay Bio: Already a long-term ruler of Bright Tree Village at the time of Return of the Jedi, this Ewok chieftain may have been slightly senile by the time of Return of the Jedi. Certainly, he was already preparing his daughter, Princess Kneesaa, to take over upon his death. Interestingly, he made three of his most enlightened decisions in the waning years of his term. By choosing to end Logray's hold on the spiritual side of his society, naming a woman (his daughter) as his successor, and by joining with the Rebels in the Battle of Endor, Chirpa led his society to a broader view of the galaxy.
