Bio: Elsbeth Duhl is sick of having to tell people that her last name isn't spelled "Dull," and she is sick of her husband's obsession with numbers, and his devotion to someone named Thog. She leaves their Atlanta apartment because she can't deal with him, even though a "gorilla" has been dropped nearby, thinking any encounter, even fatal, with the creature, which is actually Man-Thing, would be more exciting than her current life.
Man-Thing doesn't harm her when she manages to stop trembling, but she is captured by Robert Nicolle, the Scavenger, who tells her his story prior to consuming her. Thog wanted it that way, to relieve his personal accountant of a wife he can't understand continually interrupting his work.
