Penance (01 - Monet St. Croix)
Real Name: Monet Yvette St. Croix
Search for 'Penance (01 - Monet St. Croix)' on eBay

Bio:
When Monet declined Emplate's offer to tap into her powers at the expense of her looks and ability to live as a normal person in her plane of reality, Emplate transformed her skin into a razor sharp substance and removed her ability to speak.

After her transformation, her sisters found her with Emplate. Claudette St. Croix drew a circle around Emplate and banished him from this realm, but Penance jumped in after him when he said that he was her only hope to become normal again. However, Emplate treated her as a slave and routinely fed from her genetic code.

Eventually, she was freed by Gateway and escaped into Generation X's biosphere. She slowly became more and more used to being part of the team despite her disabilities. After a battle with M-Plate at the Universal Amalgamator, Synch accidentally synched with the twins' mutant abilities to learn the true secret of Penance. The twins once again merged into M and then switched bodies with Penance, transfering their conscience into the Penance shell.
